Q: What if I am a skeptic and don't believe in hypnosis or psychics?
A: Good. You should be skeptical. I am. Being skeptical means asking questions and receiving answers before making a decision. I believe more people would benefit if they would be more selective in their thought processes before accepting something as truth. So, learn about hypnosis and psychics. Learn that hypnosis is a natural form of consciousness and that psychics abilities are natural. Ask questions, learn the answers, and make a qualified decision. The more educated you are the more valuable your opinion becomes.
Q: Can I be hypnotized?
A: Yes, if you want to be. Hypnosis is the last conscious state before sleep and to enter sleep we must transition through hypnosis. However, if you do not want to be hypnotized you will not be. All hypnosis is self hypnosis and I cannot force you to do anything you do not want to do.
Q: What if I don't believe in hypnosis?
A: Hypnosis is not a belief, it is a mental process. You don't have to believe in hypnosis to experience it. Hypnosis is a natural mental process that everyone is capable of experiencing whether they believe in it or not. You don't have to believe in sleep to experience sleep. You don't have to believe in gravity to experience gravity. Like hypnosis, these things are natural processes and occur whether or not you believe in them.
Q: What is a hypnotherapist? A: A hypnotherapist is a therapist who uses the tool of hypnosis to help people, similar to how a stage hypnotist uses the tool of hypnosis to entertain people. Hypnosis is a tool and a hypnotherapist uses this tool for therapeutic purposes. Hypnotherapy is not performed on a stage in front of an audience. It is a private and confidential process to help people achieve their goals in a safe and secure environment. Hypnotherapy is performed in a private office, one-on-one. The profession of Hypnotherapist was defined by my school, the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, for the United States Department of Labor and is included in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. Q: Will I be unconscious?
A: No. You will be the exact opposite of unconscious. You will be in a state of heightened awareness. Your physical body may relax and you may feel as if you're just resting with your eyes closed. However you perceive the state of hypnosis, is just right for you.
Q: Can I experience a past life regression even if I don't believe in it?
A: Yes. Belief is not necessary but being willing is.
Q: What is it like to experience a past life regression?
A: Everyone experiences a past life regression in their own way. Some people experience it like watching a movie, some people feel they are actually there living as that person, some people see a brief snapshot of that life, while other people may not see anything but have a sense of knowing. You may touch, taste, hear, smell, and see the details of a past life.
Q: Do I need a medical or psychological referral?
A: If there is any possibility your condition is caused by a medical or psychological reason, you must have a referral. I am not a medical doctor or psychologist and I want to ensure your health and safety above all else. A medical referral ensures hypnotherapy will work in adjunct to the advice and supervision of your physician or health care professional.
Q: Why did you become a hypnotherapist?
A: Inspired by Edgar Cayce, I developed a passion for helping people and a fascination with the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy joins the two perfectly. Edgar Cayce was America's most famous psychic from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's. He was a Kentucky farm boy with an eighth grade education, a devote Christian, and a psychic. He entered the state of hypnosis to provide people with detailed and accurate psychic readings of a medical nature. He performed over 14,000 readings all of which are transcribed and available for research even today. Although he provided these readings he did not remember anything once exiting the state of hypnosis. Because of this, he required a stenographer to record his readings so he could learn from them himself. After learning about Edgar Cayce I thought, "Hey....if he could enter the state of hypnosis to help people, what if I learn how to hypnotize people so they can help themselves!". And a hypnotist was born. Learn more about Edgar Cayce by visiting; http://edgarcayce.org.
Q: How long have you practiced hypnosis?
A: I have practiced hypnosis since April 2007.
Q: What is your education?
A: I am a Certified Hypnotherapist from the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472, certification# AL011777. I am an honors graduate from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, America's only accredited college of hypnotherapy. I completed the one-year resident program of clinical hypnotherapy, including a six-month supervised internship at a hypnotherapy clinic. I am a Certified Master Hypnotist by Sylvia Browne and completed training from the Sylvia Browne Hypnosis Training Center specializing in spiritual hypnosis and past life regression. I have an extensive education in hypnosis and have accumulated over one thousand hours of hypnotherapy education. I have an Associate Arts degree with a concentration in psychology and am currently in my third year as a full-time student of the University of Phoenix. My education reflects my dedication to helping people.
Q: What is a psychic?
A: A psychic is a person who experiences the ability to receive information through alternative sensory perceptions such as clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, and claircognizance. Clairvoyance is the ability to receive information visually through images. Clairsentience receives information kinesthetically through physical sensations. Clairaudience receives information by hearing through auditory means, and claircognizance receives information through mental impressions and thoughts. Basically, I receive information in many different ways and it is my job to relay this information through a kind of translation, so that the person I am reading for may understand it.
Q: What is a medium?
A: A medium is a person who is able to communicate with people on various vibrational frequencies. This means that a medium is able to communicate with people who have passed over to the Other Side. They are in the middle of two people communicating and act as the mediator. Just as a telephone is the medium of a conversation between two people, a psychic can also be the medium in a conversation. The medium does not create the conversation, they are just the instrument that allows the conversation to take place.
Q: Is a psychic supernatural?
A: No. Being psychic is a very natural process. Just as birds are "psychic" and know how to migrate in a certain direction at a certain time, people are also psychic. A psychic is a person with the natural ability to receive information through various means. A psychic can hone in on a certain topic, a person, an event, or even a place to gain valuable insight. Every person has psychic abilities but not all people pay attention to them. Just as every person is able to sing, not all people are able to perform in the Opera.
Q: What is a psychic reading?
A: A psychic reading is a process to relay information to gain understanding about a specific concern. The information relayed depends upon the person whom requested a reading, their current situation, and their needs. Each reading is different and provides the information necessary for that person at that time. A person may experience many psychic readings and they could be different every time. Most people hire psychics to learn information that helps them make decisions, understand situations, or even heal. Many people use psychics to understand their relationships or the relationships of others, connect with loved ones who have passed over, even with pets. Many people use psychics to receive information about business, finances, career goals, even educational pursuits.
Q: Should I believe everything a psychic has to tell me?
A: No. Psychics are people and make mistakes at their job, just like you. A genuine psychic will tell you that you can do this too! It is not a rare gift reserved for the special few, it is an ability available to all, should you choose to learn how to use it. While psychics provide valuable information there is no substitute for good judgment. Use your common sense to determine what is best for you and accept only that which resonates well with you.
